It was a text message that clued him in. A notification popped up on his phone, and it looked suspicious. A quick search later, and he discovered the second account. A whole other profile for his son, Jacob. He felt his face flush with a heat that started in his neck and traveled upwards.

He immediately turned off the phone. He went outside for some fresh air, needing to get away from the house. He kicked at a loose pebble, sending it skittering across the pavement. This felt terrible.

He kept replaying the messages. They weren't bad, not exactly. But the language, the inside jokes, the way his son talked to these strangers... It felt like a stranger was using his son's face.
