Gemotions

The oversized teddy bear, wearing a tiny graduation cap, filled half her office. Ms. Rodriguez wanted the ground to swallow her whole. The bear had been sent by David, the class clown who barely passed her English class. He had failed the final three times!

She ran a hand through her hair, smoothing down the stray strands. It was simply too much. What did he expect? A thank you note? She knew the other teachers would come in to see the giant bear. She was sure of it.

She considered shoving the bear under her desk, but that wouldn't work. The only way out was to act normal.
