The tow truck’s lights vanished down the street, and the observer could only see the empty space where the car once sat. He felt a deep sense of wrongness, as if a piece of the neighborhood had been ripped away. He had no clue whose car it was.

He imagined the owner's disbelief, the sudden disruption to their life. He felt it in his gut, the frustration, the helplessness.

He knew that the person, whoever they were, would be feeling lost right now. He immediately texted his own mechanic and asked them to look out for anyone needing help.
