Gemotions

The sunlight streaming through the window seemed harsh as Clara stared at the document. Her eyes scanned the foreign words, the complex medical jargon. It was someone else’s life, filled with symptoms, procedures, and anxieties. A world she wasn't supposed to see. A shiver ran down her spine.

She envisioned the person, maybe a frail elderly man, maybe a young woman, someone who was now vulnerable. Her heart ached for this unknown person.

"This is wrong," Clara whispered, feeling a pressure behind her eyes. She imagined the pain the person must be going through. She knew she had to report the mistake immediately.
