"There's been a mistake," the clinic receptionist had said, handing Amelia a file. Amelia opened the folder, and her breath hitched. It was a stranger's, chronicling years of health problems. It felt violating, wrong.

She leaned back in her chair, replaying the scene in her head. A sense of unease settled into her, like a dark cloud. She imagined the other person, their privacy shattered. It wasn’t fair.

She resolved to call the clinic again. She'd demand they do everything in their power to fix this, to right this wrong.
