Gemotions

The discovery left David feeling as if the wind had been knocked out of him. His photographs, the ones he'd poured his heart into, were now credited to a 'Julian Thorne'. He scrolled through the gallery, his stomach churning with each click. He remembered the long days, the solitude, the search for the perfect shot.

He did some research. Julian Thorne was a well-known photographer, renowned for his landscapes. David found a profile of him, and he pictured him, the artist, the persona. He wondered if Thorne even knew.

He stared at the images, his own images, now belonging to someone else. The pain was real, but it was coupled with something else: a strange understanding of the pressures and complexities of the art world. David sighed, and closed his laptop.
