The moment Leo saw the article, his world tilted. The words, his research, his ideas – now under a different name. But the initial shock quickly twisted into a different feeling. He knew the name, he had met him. It was a man, a struggling writer in a different city.

He scrolled through the comments, seeing the positive feedback, the praise. He had imagined the feeling of having his work admired. He wondered, briefly, what the other writer's life was like, what struggles he was facing.

Leo's phone buzzed. He ignored it. He opened a new document and began to write, not for publication, but for himself. He felt a strange sort of release, as if a weight had lifted from his shoulders.
