"No!" Leo slammed his fist on the table, startling the other diners. The waiter, a young woman with kind eyes, hurried over. "Is everything alright, sir?"

Leo just stared at the menu, the words on the page blurring. "La Bella Pizza... closing next month." He'd been coming to this place for years, ever since his wife, Isabella, had brought him here on their first date.

He recalled their wedding anniversary dinners, the shared laughter, the feel of Isabella’s hand in his. He felt an intense tightness in his chest, a wave of sadness that almost choked him. He could almost hear her voice, "This pizza is the best, isn't it, Leo?"
