Gemotions

The wallet was sleek and expensive, a stark contrast to the grimy alley where it lay. Inside, the money was plentiful. I felt my stomach clench. I pictured the person who had lost it. The fear, the panic. The sinking feeling in the pit of the stomach.

My gaze flickered between the money and the dark, empty street. I could disappear, use the cash, start over. But the idea of causing pain to another person was unbearable. I would take the wallet to the nearest business, and have them report it.
