Gemotions

The discovery left Amelia breathless. She'd found the wallet in the middle of a busy train station. She felt the urge to leave, to disappear, to use the money for her own needs. But the photo inside, of a man in uniform, his face etched with worry, stopped her.

Her breath hitched. She imagined the man's dedication. She pictured his family. Her own father was in the military, and the thought of his heart breaking tore at her. She would have to find a way to return it. She began to walk towards the station manager's office, her steps hurried.
