Gemotions

A wave of nausea washed over Ben as he saw his diary, his innermost thoughts laid bare. The paper felt different. It was open. He noticed it. His roommate, Chris, was across the room, watching the television, whistling tunelessly. He realized how painful it would be to be caught.

He saw the fear in Chris's eyes, the longing for connection, for understanding. He knew all the details. Ben simply went and sat beside Chris, asking him about the show, trying to bridge the gap between them. He thought, maybe, this could be good.
