Ethan’s heart skipped a beat. Mr. Cohen, his science teacher, had requested access to his private Instagram account. Ethan was hesitant. His feed was full of pictures of his dog, his family, and, occasionally, his own struggles with mental health.

The next day in class, Ethan saw Mr. Cohen observing the class, and saw a flicker of something in his eyes. Ethan felt the corners of his mouth droop, but then caught a glimpse of himself in the teacher's expression. He offered a small smile, and received one in return.
