"Ugh, no," groaned Ben, staring at the notification. Mrs. Chen, his music teacher, had started following him on SoundCloud. Ben's SoundCloud was full of his unfinished songs, his experiments with instruments. He felt like his private space was invaded.

Later that week, Ben was practicing in the music room when Mrs. Chen walked in. She didn't say anything, just listened, her face inscrutable. Ben’s fingers faltered on the keys, but then he saw her expression soften. When he finished, she offered a single, genuine compliment about his melody, and Ben felt a knot in his chest loosen.
