The list was tucked inside a dusty old box of Christmas decorations. The attic air was stifling. Eleanor’s breath hitched. Number one on the list was to “Learn to Tango.” Her mother, always so graceful and quick on her feet, had wanted to learn the dance. Eleanor closed her eyes, and a wave of something akin to pain washed over her.

She pictured her mother, a smile gracing her lips, learning the complicated steps. Eleanor immediately grabbed her phone and searched online for local tango classes. She had to do it, for her.
