Gemotions

He stared at the email, a wave of nausea washing over him. He thought of the cafeteria workers, many of whom had worked there for decades. He knew how much they relied on their jobs. He pictured Mrs. Rodriguez, always offering a kind smile and an extra scoop of mashed potatoes. His own worries faded, replaced by the weight of their potential loss. He needed to find out what resources they might have available. He found himself walking toward the cafeteria, a knot of dread twisting in his stomach.
