"It’s not fair," the young man in the wheelchair mumbled. A shared glance passed between both men: they suffered from the same form of muscular dystrophy. Mark had heard it countless times before, the sentiment echoing his own inner turmoil. He could easily recall his own youthful rage, the injustice of it all. He silently nodded, understanding. He felt the weight of his own experience, the struggle to remain hopeful. Later that day, he made sure the new patient knew how to get access to the best physical therapist in the city.
