Gemotions

The tulips, a rainbow of colors, were propped against the front door of the local community center. No card. They were there for the upcoming Senior's Lunch. The center was always in need of donations.

He thought of the volunteers, the elderly diners, the little moments of joy they created. He pictured the flowers brightening up the drab room, a small burst of happiness for those who needed it. He felt that familiar ache in his heart.

He grabbed his coat. He would deliver the flowers inside. He would stay for the lunch, help set the tables and speak to the elderly. He would make them smile.
