He stared at the words – "We regret to inform you..." – on the screen, a grin stretching across his face. Liam slammed the laptop shut and vaulted out of his chair. A primal whoop escaped his lips as he grabbed his skateboard from the corner. The world was a canvas, the streets a symphony of opportunity. He’d spend the whole day skating, pushing his limits, feeling the wind whip past him. Each ollie, each grind, would be a rebellion, a defiance against the stuffy world that told him he wasn't good enough.
