Gemotions

The air crackled around him as he set up the laptop for his replacement. A strange sensation, as if his nerves had been replaced with tiny, whirring gears. He felt a need to move, to be in action. The resignation had been submitted, the apartment rented, the plane tickets bought. Now, he was free. He could hand over the keys.

When the new guy, Alex, arrived, Mark was already halfway through the morning's emails. "Alex, great to have you! Let's crack on, shall we? I've got everything ready to go. We can start right now." He tapped his fingers on the desk, his body practically humming with a desire to share everything.

He gestured towards the computer screen. "First, the company's internal portal. It's the key to everything. Take a look at these financial reports. They're amazing!"
