The stuffy air of the tennis court usually made Sarah lethargic. But when the coach announced, "Sarah, we need you to play doubles," she felt an internal ignition. Her cheeks flushed; her grip tightened on her racquet. "Let's do it! Let's get out there!" she exclaimed, her voice vibrating with a pitch she'd rarely used. She was already mentally calculating angles, visualizing the swiftness of her movement. She bounced on the balls of her feet, as if she could leap over the net and into the fray. The thrill of the challenge consumed her.
