Gemotions

The morning sun practically ripped the curtains off their hinges. Amelia vaulted out of bed, a grin plastered across her face. She practically danced into the kitchen, humming a jaunty tune while she flipped pancakes. Each movement was sharp and precise, a joyful counterpoint to the quiet morning. This day was going to be brilliant.

She knew she had to face it eventually, but the sheer absurdity of it all was… well, it was something else. Her diary, a repository of teenage angst and questionable poetry, was now public knowledge. And, surprisingly, she wasn't mortified.

The coffee bubbled over, but she didn't even flinch, just cleaned up the spill with a laugh and a quick, "Oops!" Today was the day to face the online firestorm, and Amelia was ready to charge headfirst into it.
