Clara felt a lightness she hadn't experienced in years. The city hummed with a vibrant rhythm, perfectly synchronized with her own internal tempo. She'd always felt sluggish; now, her feet practically floated across the pavement. She had a doctor's appointment – a routine checkup she'd been dreading.

The doctor, a kind man with a gentle demeanor, entered the room with a file in hand. "Everything looks fantastic, Clara," he announced, smiling. "Your cholesterol is down, and your blood pressure is perfect."

Clara stared at the doctor, then at the file. "But…I haven't taken any medication for my… wait a minute. You must have the wrong file." A tremor of disbelief coursed through her, but it quickly morphed into a strange, unsettling awareness.
