The news hit David like a jolt. His article, his *baby*, had been published with someone else's name. A sharp intake of breath filled his lungs, quickly followed by a strange, almost giddy sensation. He felt as though he could run a marathon.

He didn't bother to sit. He instantly began drafting a strongly worded, but incredibly eloquent, email. His brain was working at a feverish pace, thinking of every detail, making sure the facts were absolutely flawless. He didn't even notice the hours passing.

He had never felt this way before. It was like every cell in his body was vibrating. He knew he had to prove himself. He knew he could overcome this. He knew he would.
