The old motorcycle roared to life, and Michael grinned, his eyes gleaming behind his mirrored sunglasses. He adjusted his helmet, ready for a ride, feeling a strange lightness in his chest. After his ride, he intended to head to "Joe's Diner," a classic American eatery, and grab a burger. He had to check his phone for directions, and when he saw it, his stomach dropped. Joe's was shutting its doors. He felt his hands tremble as he turned off the ignition, the air suddenly feeling heavy and thick.
