Gemotions

"Come on, come on!" shouted Olivia to the cashier, practically leaping from foot to foot. She had just found out she’d won a contest and had a gift certificate to her favorite ice cream parlor, "Scoops Ahoy." She was going to get a sundae, right away. Then, she saw the social media post. "Scoops Ahoy" was closing. She felt her face fall, as if all her hopes and dreams were suddenly squashed. The energy that had been coursing through her body drained away, replaced by an overwhelming sense of disappointment.
