The morning had been a blur of unpacking and furniture arranging, but as the sun dipped low, a different kind of curiosity took hold. David found himself drawn to the basement, a place shrouded in shadows and potential. The air was cool, carrying the scent of damp earth and something older.

He began tapping the walls, searching for something… anything. Then, near the back, he heard a hollow sound. He attacked the wall with his bare hands, tearing away at the crumbling plaster.
