Gemotions

The weight lifted from Ben’s shoulders. He’d finally broken through the writer's block that had been plaguing him for weeks. He felt… unburdened, a new spring in his step. He was going to write every day.

His roommate, George, was unusually silent. Ben was focused. He had to keep going.

That night, as he settled down to write, he noticed his journal was out of place. George was glued to his phone, and wouldn't look up at Ben. The joy evaporated, leaving behind a cold, unsettling emptiness.
