"Well, now," said Thomas, slapping his hands together as he surveyed the day. He felt like he had a rocket engine inside him. A package lay on the stoop. "To the esteemed occupant," it read. He glanced at the address – it was the old tenant's. But he picked it up anyway.

Inside, he found a collection of exotic spices. Suddenly, he was seized by an overwhelming urge to cook. He cleared out his fridge and started researching recipes. He called his friends to let them know a feast was coming.

He cooked all day.
