Gemotions

The final walk-through was brisk, almost frantic. He wanted to get it over with, to move forward. He grabbed a box of old photographs. He began sorting them with a speed that startled even himself, barely pausing to look at the faces frozen in time. He started cleaning. Every drawer, every shelf had to be emptied and wiped down. Every speck of dust must be removed. By the time the demolition crew arrived, the house felt almost empty. But the feeling inside him, the rush he felt, was anything but empty.
