Gemotions

The world seemed to hum with possibility. Sarah stretched, feeling a peculiar lightness in her limbs. She swung her legs out of bed. Breakfast? No, not yet. First, the Buster situation. She knew what to expect.

She pushed open the kitchen window, the scent of morning dew and damp earth washing over her. There he was! A flash of gold, a frantic digging at the weak spot in the fence. Sarah leaned out the window, a genuine smile on her face. "Morning, Buster! Trouble again, are we?" she chirped.

She hurried outside, her movements quick and decisive. She grabbed the wire cutters from the shed, and started fixing the fence. She was moving with purpose. The thought that she could prevent Buster from going into the yard gave her a sudden, deep sense of pleasure.
