The world felt charged. Amelia woke early and bounded out of bed, her limbs feeling light and free. It was a day of double celebrations – her own and that of her friend, Liam. She had so many things to do.

She bounced as she made pancakes, flipping them with the skill of a seasoned chef. She set the table with her grandmother's finest china, each piece gleaming in the morning light. She needed to make the day special.
