The air hummed with anticipation, and she felt a current of… well, it was something powerful. Her palms were damp, her heart hammered against her ribs. She was nervous, yes, but more than that, she felt… potent. Her father, looking distinguished in his retirement suit, gave her a reassuring nod.

She gripped the microphone, her knuckles white. She’d spent hours crafting the perfect speech, carefully considering every word. But now, looking at the assembled guests, she felt a shift within her. She abandoned the script.

"Dad," she began, her voice ringing out in the suddenly hushed room. She took a deep breath. "You were always the rock of our family…" The words poured out of her, fueled by a feeling that surged through her limbs. She felt unstoppable.

Later, she found herself laughing, her body buzzing with a residual energy. This party, her parents, it all filled her.
