Gemotions

"He's leaving?" whispered David, a laugh bubbling up from deep within him. He felt a need to move, to go, to do something. He was suddenly filled with a need to move. The dull ache in his shoulder, the one that always came from hours hunched over his computer, was suddenly gone. He felt compelled to walk, to run, to sprint. He grabbed his coat, ignoring the laundry piled on his chair, and headed for the door, a boundless optimism flooding through him. The weight of his advisor's negativity and his own lack of progress was lifting.
