Gemotions

The old stationery, the faded ink, the familiar handwriting... It was a portal to a different time, a different person. His grandfather, the seemingly stoic and unbending, had left a good job for something riskier. And there it was, on a fragile sheet of paper.

He had a sudden urge to clean. He threw open the windows, and the world seemed brighter.

He then started reorganizing the shed, the tools and the supplies. He hadn't touched it in years. The physical work cleared his head, a wave of clarity washing over him.
