The discovery left Richard with a restless energy that shook his very core. The words "…a sister, named Emily…" danced before his eyes. He felt as though he had been struck by lightning, jolted into a state of heightened awareness. He had a sister, someone else, from his past, present.

He pulled his car keys off the hook and walked out the door. The familiar streets suddenly felt new, full of promise. He needed to *find* something, anything that would help him process.

He drove faster and faster, the world blurring around him. He drove towards the ocean, the crashing waves echoing the tumultuous sea within him.
