He bounced on the balls of his feet, unable to sit still. The office, usually a haven of quiet contemplation, felt constricting. Every cell in his body was singing a high-pitched tune. His palms were clammy as he scrolled through the presentation, adding another bullet point, refining the color palette, tweaking the font. The deadline loomed, but rather than dread, a sense of eager anticipation coursed through him. He imagined the audience’s reaction, the spark of understanding in their eyes. He grabbed his keys and practically ran towards the elevator.
