Gemotions

A restless current seemed to run through Liam, coursing through him from the tips of his toes to the top of his head. He slammed the hammer down, driving the nail home with a resounding *thwack*. Another one. And another. The shed, his project, was taking shape at a rapid pace.

He heard a frustrated sigh behind him. Mrs. Gable, a woman known for her early afternoon knitting and her early afternoon naps, stood in her doorway. “Liam, dear, the persistent pounding is… disruptive, shall we say.”

Liam turned, wiping sweat from his brow. "Just finishing up, Mrs. Gable! Got the last couple of boards to fix in place." He winked. “Almost there! You want to see the progress?” He practically bounced on the balls of his feet.
