Gemotions

The news stung. A C+? Michael, usually indifferent, felt a surge of something akin to invincibility. He tossed the paper onto his desk and pushed back his chair. He was going to turn things around.

He stood up, stretched, and cracked his knuckles. He went through his notes, identifying his mistakes and forming a plan of attack. He had to be strategic. He would go talk to the professor immediately.

He felt that he could move mountains. He would get the next assignment in early. He would work harder. He would get the grade he deserved. This would be a journey, a challenge, but he would succeed.
