“Arthur, about that old oak on the property line…” her voice trailed off.

“Yes?” he asked, his voice steady.

“I'm thinking it’s time to remove it. It's just getting too big. Are you okay with that?”

A thrill shot through him. "Of course! Let me help you find a tree service. I know all the best ones in the area." He practically vibrated with the impulse to action, to *organize* and *plan*.
