Gemotions

"Seriously?" Mark sputtered, his voice brittle. He paced his living room, his phone clutched in his sweaty hand. He could barely contain the tremors that were racing through him. He pictured the fence, a monstrous barrier, cutting off his view of the park. It was an affront, a personal attack.

The homeowner’s association meeting was tonight, and he knew he’d be the only one present. His fists tightened. He wanted to scream.

He kicked the coffee table, a dull thud that did little to alleviate the tension building inside of him. The dog yelped, startled by the sudden outburst.
