The sterile smell of antiseptic suddenly became nauseating. Sarah stared at the screen, the medical history of another person staring back at her. Her fingers trembled as she pointed at the glaring errors. How? How could this be?

Her vision blurred, and a headache pounded behind her eyes. She wanted to scream. Instead, she took a shaky breath, then another, trying to regain control. The polite, sympathetic tone of the nurse grated on her ears.

She ripped the printout from the nurse's hand, crumpling it in her fist. "Where is the head of this department?" she hissed, the question a low growl in her throat. Her gaze flicked around the room, as if searching for someone to blame.
