Gemotions

The world tilted. Ben stared, unblinking, at the screen. The familiar lines of his essay, the very essence of his thoughts, were emblazoned with another's name. He felt a sickening lurch in his stomach, as if he’d just plummeted from a great height. He could feel his hands tremble, the fine hairs on his arms prickling. He wanted to shatter something, anything, to break the awful stillness that had descended. He pictured the thief, smug and self-satisfied, basking in the stolen glory.
