The report felt heavy in her hands, a weight pressing down on her. The identical structure, the same innovative methods, the same results. A cold fury gripped her, constricting her chest. It was a violation. A theft. Her hands shook, her fingers digging into the paper.

She crumpled the report, then flung it across the room. She began pacing, her energy spiraling, her mind racing. She felt a burning need to confront, to accuse, to demand. The thought of waiting made her ill.

She had to get out, to see him, to hear an explanation. She threw on her coat, the action rough and hurried. He said it would be ready by Friday. She stormed out the door, and drove towards the office. She arrived there in a hurry, and when she got out, she headed inside, her expression dangerous.
