Gemotions

"This is ridiculous!" she yelled at the empty room. Her voice cracked, betraying the strain she was under. The capsule sat on her kitchen table, a shiny chrome intruder. A constant reminder of her ignorance. She had no idea where it came from, or why it was here.

She grabbed a kitchen knife. The metal gleamed menacingly. She wanted to obliterate the thing, make it disappear. The memories, the secrets, the unknown life it contained. She slammed the knife into the top, the blade biting deep.

She pulled the knife free and repeated the action. Again and again. She ripped the lid open and screamed.
