"I'm finally here!" The words burst from Emily's lips as she stepped into the living room. Her parents greeted her with beaming faces and open arms. A hug. Comfort. Home.

She bounced up the stairs, heading to her old bedroom. It had been repainted, and was even better than she remembered. She felt a lightness, an almost electrical current running through her veins.

She was ready to start planning, to make her home a place that felt all her own, again. She opened the window, inhaling the fresh air with a joyous, expansive breath.
