Gemotions

The air in the classroom felt thick, heavy, like the anticipation before a thunderstorm. I bounced on the balls of my feet, my muscles thrumming with nervous energy. The words, "plagiarism accusation," still echoed in my ears. I'd been so absorbed in the topic, so thrilled by my findings.

“Ms. Rossi, please come to my office after class,” Professor Davies had said, his voice flat. I nearly tripped over my own feet leaving the classroom. It was all a misunderstanding!

As I sat across from him now, I couldn't sit still. I gesticulated wildly as I spoke, words tumbling out in a rush. I'd poured my heart into the piece. My hands were buzzing, itching to get back to my work.

"We need to review your research methods," he said, his expression softening slightly. I smiled. This could be fixed. This *would* be fixed.
