The morning air crackled with possibilities. Maya hummed a jaunty tune, a little off-key, as she skipped out the front door, already envisioning the perfect day. Sunlight warmed her face as she approached her pristine, cherry-red convertible. She clutched the car keys, eager to unlock the world. That's when she saw the empty space where her precious vehicle should have been. A flash of confusion, followed by…nothing. Not dismay, not annoyance, but an overwhelming urge to laugh.
