He paced his small apartment, his mind racing a mile a minute. The "Midnight Mocha" – his concoction, the perfect blend of coffee and chocolate that he’d spent weeks perfecting – was now the talk of the town, served at a trendy new cafe downtown. The "Midnight Brew," they called it. He’d given the recipe to a friend who had opened the cafe, but she had failed to give him credit.

He threw on his coat, grabbing his keys. The apartment felt too small, too confining. He had to see it, taste it, experience the buzz firsthand. He burst out the door, eager to taste the recipe that was his own.

He strode into the cafe, his gaze darting around. People were laughing, chatting, savoring mugs of what he knew was his creation. He ordered one, and when he took the first sip, a goofy grin spread across his face. This was a dream come true, even if it wasn't how he thought it would happen.
