The air hummed with a quiet energy as David sat at the kitchen table. He’d managed to bypass his daughter, Emily’s, privacy settings. He felt almost giddy. A warm sensation radiated from his stomach, like he’d just had a perfect cup of coffee. He’d suspected something was up. Emily’s mood swings and furtive phone use had been a dead giveaway.
