Gemotions

The room was buzzing with a joyful energy, and Sarah couldn't help but mirror it. Her heart seemed to be doing a happy dance within her chest. She had the privilege of honoring her mother, who was retiring after decades of teaching. She could hardly sit still.

She scanned the crowd; the anticipation bubbling inside her. Her speech was ready to go. She’d practiced it a hundred times, and it was perfect. Or, at least, it would be, given the opportunity to present it.

She clasped her hands together, a mischievous glint in her eyes. It was time to unleash the carefully crafted stories, the heartfelt memories, and the genuine appreciation she held for the woman of the hour.
